That certain Day, I returned from my very normal routine. Not like I had a bad day, was the very natural fatigue you feel after spending 1/4 of the day under the burning sunlight. I stepped into the bathroom for a cool shower and Boom! It came. The water tricked down my ruffled hair and my heart just couldn't get over the thought that "I'm not good enough"

Sometimes it happens like a Spirit possession...I imagined a million and one reasons why I didn't fit in, why I was alone. I broke down in tears. The water from the shower head mixed with my tears flowed down my Depressed Body.

Still in the bathroom; I picked up my phone and dialed a few people I trusted. I told each of them to tell me something good about myself. Well I wanted Just one thing but they told me SO MANY.

The feeling of DEPRESSION didn't go away asap but I can tell you all those Words helped.

THE LESS IMPORTANT DISEASE
Society today is just not what it use to be. The society we live in would raise a brow when someone is Diagonised of Cancer, she'd shed tears when one is attacked by a terminal Disease. But no one really pays attention to the Disease of the Mind. Everyone is Living fast I guess so there's Little or no time to talk to that Boy who just Punched his fist into the wall. Some might even say he's possessed.

ENOUGH WITH DEPRESSION LETS GET OUT!!

•Have you ever felt like a Rainbow with no colours.Like you are trying your best to Glow but you're just so Greyscale.
•Have you ever Looked at your Social Media news feed,and instead of Having a fun time you begin to see every reason why your 5k followers are all better than you.
•Have you ever been through an experience, which afterwards you shut yourself away,begin to feel like "I'm not good at this...that...n that"

HERE'S HOW YOU GET OUT
✓APPRECIATE YOURSELF: it's in the process of self appreciation that you begin to Love yourself.And if you Love yourself you would do everything possible to make yourself happy. People who are in Love do their best to make their partners happy. Why don't you date yourself,fall in Love with yourself.

✓TELL YOURSELF NICE THINGS: At The point where my mouth was filled with sobs, I employed other people to Tell me NICE things about myself. Why don't you tell yourself or get someone to do that for you

I know I failed , other people fail too, it means my case isn't the worst, I'd b better next time.

 My shape is so bad I guess I look like mum,but mum got married to the love of her Life right? I can find Love even if I'm blind.

I'm So important that people are scared of Loosing me. C'mon dad's gonna cry he's eyes off if I ever leave.

A king Died that I might live that's More than Romeo and Juliet.
At the point you start saying NICE things to yourself u begin to see why the reason for your depression is just a facade.

✓MAKE A LIST: so many times we think no one loves us. Sha Sha you lied to yourself. Pick a paper and start writing out people who care about you,or have shown you care in the slightest way. I bet that paper is gonna get filled

✓DONT DWELL ON IT: my Bible says "ponder on thing's that are good" Did you know if you spend time staring at an object you'd begin to find Little details which you didn't take note of initially. If you spend time thinking 'i failed' 'i was cheated on' ' I'm flawed'
Baby you'd begin to see more reasons why your thoughts are true and real. But whereas in reality it's False. You failed doesn't mean 'you failed' it's only that you didn't meet the required standards of that particular subject. Who set those standards? People!
So why let that Change your personality. I bet if you set your standards too a lot would also failed.


✓GET A ROUTINE:  It's as easy as it sounds. Get involved with something, something that takes your mind off the thoughts,could be a hobby,could be a job,could be a craving. Just do something that makes your mind peaceful.

✓DRINK WATER & REST: This is indeed very necessary. A lot of times our problem is lack of rest. A lot of water in your statement and REST can take that month old depression in weeks

  1. I feel like being depressed is a stage in everyone's life and that's OK. There are low days but as you have rightly said, you shouldn't dwell on the lows... There are high days too

"we all hate the traffic but the blogger and the begger disagree"- Wright Elijah There are different reasons as to which a man beats his chest. It could be as a result of cough or he's laughing.
