"Peep into 2018"
Happy boxing day world. Its everyone's wish to find something they desire in one of those gift boxes they get today, that's if they got one anyways. But how about if you could see right through that box just before you open it huh? I guess thats what we are about to do to 2018's trend. Just a peep into some of the fashion trends we might likely encounter in the course of the year. 2017 was wonderful with off shoulder tops, peplums, ripped and distress denims, the bleached ones, vintage wears, the kimonos, crop tops, jump suits and so on. Not like these are fading away entirely they might still be in vogue.
Without wasting much of your scrolling time lets take a look at some of the trends we might encounter in 2018. So be on the look out.
MIXED PRINTS
You know this fashion thingy, some might choose to say its a statement, some say its bla bla bla. I personally do not have any definition for it but if I were to il say its like a flowing ocean current that pushes us Which ever way it wills. You didnt hear me say we are Slaves, did you?
Now for the MIXED PRINTS we all would say thats not something to go by. You'd suggest maybe a black or white or denim sort of to go with a print. But I think by 2018 we gonna be exploring the full potentials of mixing prints.
But theres a thin line between mixing prints and disturbing the eyes. Im giving you an expose into 2018's trend but I wouldn't leave you to do it all alone. THANK ME LATER *smiles*
Tips to wearing the MIXED PRINTS and looking chic!
1 . Mix & match prints according to colors and textures, not the prints themselves; check for the dominant colours and the minors this is where the COLOUR WHEEL comes in(check the previous blog) the texture of the fabric matters too. Does the thicker one sit on top or the base, definitely the base. And rule number MUST "dont over do it"
2. Different textures, BUT mix on the same color palette (different patterns, of slightly same colors)
4. Stripes – are the easiest way to mix
prints, as they’re the basic definition of a print, which makes them super versatile against any other. They look amazing when mixed with:
florals
tropicals
dots
different stripes
checks
graphic
animal print
So the tale of MIXED PRINTS and RULES is a story for another day. Next trend you might possibly encounter is the
DENIM
The denim is here to stay I guess. Every day brings us to a new style for the denim, a new trend, a new vogue. The denim has proven to be versatile in clothing ranging from denim suits, bags, shoes, sneakers, tops, skirts, pants, still waiting to see the denim interior of a car (thats if it doesn't exist already).
SATIN AND SHiNE
The satin as we all know is a fabric quite breezy but theres a magic it has. The satin brings out the figure and still blends it into a sorta silhouette. 2018 might experience a lot of satins. Ranging from the gowns to the short gowns, to the tops, I guess shorts as well.
TULLE
The tulle has been there for so long but it's back to stay perhaps. Thats another we might meet so get ready. The tulle can be worn with a top, could be worn with a shirt or Tee. But remember rule number "MUST"; don't over do it, you don't wanna be looking like a ballerina. The tulle can come as an attachment to the main dress. Like in this tulle scoop neck long sleeve mid calf casual.(last tulle pic )
THE FRINGE
Pardon me fringe lovers , the fringe reminds me of contemporary restaurant curtains in this my part of the world. The fringe made its way towards mid 2017 and I think it's full potential is going to be more explored by the coming year. The fringe could be attached at the cape, the dress end, the sleeve, all around the dress, could even be used to create our highly adored peplums.
I guess we are a bit ready right? Cheers! !!! See you in 2018.
